Synthetically nutrient poor agar

Purpose
For non-selective isolation.
Ingredients
| Ingredient | 500 mL |
|---|---|
| distilled water | 500 mL |
| purified agar or Bacto agar | 10 g |
| potassium phosphate | 0.50 g |
| potassium nitrate | 0.50 g |
| magnesium sulfate | 0.50 g |
| potassium chloride | 0.25 g |
| Glucose | 0.10 g |
| Sucrose | 0.10 g |
| Streptomycin | 0.10 g |
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients except streptomycin
- Autoclave for 20 minutes
- cool to 50-55°C
- Add Streptomycin
