Sitka Spruce Picea sitchensis is a species of spruce Picea native to the Pacific coast temperate rainforests of North America, from Kodiak Island in Alaska south to central California.
It is a very large evergreen coniferous tree growing to 50-95 m tall.
It is extensively cultivated as a timber tree, and to a lesser extent also for christmas trees, in the Pacific Northwest of North America and in western Europe.
