Purpose
For inducing sporangium formation in water molds.
Ingredients
Solution A
| Ingredient | 1000 ml |
|---|---|
| dH2O | 950 ml |
| KH2PO4 | 0.075 g |
| MgSO4 • 7H2O | 0.05 g |
| ZnSO4•7H2O | 0.0022 g |
| FeSO4•7H2O | 0.0022 g |
| MnCl2•4H2O | 0.000035 g |
Solution B
| Ingredient | |
|---|---|
| dH2O | 50 ml |
| Ca(NO3 )2•2 H2O | 0.075 g |
Instructions
- Autoclave Solution A and Solution B separately and mix before use.
- Incubate fungal tissue in above recipe.
Notes
- It is possible to use this solution to separate Phytophthora from Pythium.
