Picea pungens

From Bugwoodwiki

Blue Spruce Picea pungens is a species of spruce Picea native to the Rocky Mountains of western North America, from Montana south to New Mexico.

It is a medium-sized evergreen coniferous tree growing to 20-45 m tall.

It is extensively cultivated as an ornamental tree, and occasionally for christmas trees, throughout the cooler regions of the Northern Hemisphere. It can tolerate winter temperatures below -45°C, but is poorly adapted to cope with hot, humid summers.
