The life cycle section needs a little work. For example, I would start out with the statement about the importance of temperatures, especially since this factor is important to all armyworm species and not just fall armyworm. Also, it would be helpful if you kept descriptions more consistent between species (include number of instars for each species, temperature thresholds if known or state "not known" if that's the case). For the injury section, it would be helpful to have other diagnostic images, especially when you're talking about early-season stem feeding and how that might differ from other early-season damage. I would try to include an image showing skeletonization; this may help the reader better understand this diagnostic. Under the management section, if a treatable population is found and it has reduced the stand density below acceptable numbers, does an application of an insecticide prevent further damage? Or does the insecticide prevent injury from the next generation? Is there anything the grower can do to resolve the low-stand issue?
