Malt salt agar
From Bugwoodwiki
Purpose
This medium is used to culture xerotrophic seed colonizing fungi such as Aspergillus flavus parasiticus group. The osmotic potential of the medium is high, due to the concentration of salt. This mimics the osmotic potential of seeds and preferentially selects for Aspergillus.
