Lessons

From Bugwoodwiki

Biocontrol In Your Backyard is a Portal in The Bugwood Wiki that shares
lessons learned from four teacher-led Intermountain West youth biocontrol
education programs.

In this tutorial, you will learn the essential skills needed to navigate the Portal,
and to use and adapt the media resources for your programs.

The tutorial will help you effectively access and witness how the materials are
currently used in the Intermountain West.

Teachers and scientists share their methods to create projects and teach basic
biocontrol concepts. You will learn how to engage students with interagency and
community work groups. You will learn how to seamlessly integrate biological weed
control science into K-12 lesson plans to meet your State's core curricular
requirements. Kids, teachers, professionals, and agency program managers will find
interactive media, PowerPoints, illustrations, training clips, and other resources
that can be organized in a sequence for technical bulletins, crew training, and
communicating visually rich complex biological control science topics.
