Kado's D-5 media for Xanthomonas and Agrobacterium

Purpose

For cultivating Xanthomonas and Agrobacterium.

Ingredients

Ingredient	3 L	1 L	1/2 L
Water	3 L	1 L	1/2 L
MgSO4-7H2O (magnesium sulfate)	900 mg	300 mg	150 mg
NH4Cl (ammonium chloride)	3 g	1 g	0.5 g
K2HPO4 (potassium phosphate-monobasic)	9 g	3 g	1.5 g
NaH2PO4 (sodium phosphate-monobasic)	3 g	1 g	0.5 g
Cellobiose	30 g	10 g	5 g
Agar	45 g	15 g	7.5 g

Instructions

1. Dissolve all the ingredients in the water except for the agar.
2. Add agar and autoclave.
