Taking digital images

The time involved in setting up the equipment and specimens needed for the images is significant. Do not waste your effort by taking small, low quality images.

For digital images, we recommend setting the camera to the highest resolution possible. You paid for the camera, so you might as well use it to it's fullest ability. This does mean that the image files will be larger and there will be fewer images per memory card. Large memory cards and storage are fairly inexpensive.
