Introduction to Designing Biocontrol Lesson Plans
In this designing section of the biological control portal, you will come to understand a variety of resources to help you develop lesson and learning plans. You will revisit how to access content from Intermountain West youth education programs and move seamlessly between access points to select and consolidate core elements. You will learn how to assemble these elements in a sequence to give a presentation, teach a lesson, or share with a friend.
In addition, you will find tips on how to develop lesson plans and presentations for specific groups. For example, is your audience Second Graders, their teachers, or the Kiwanis Club? How might you select core elements differently if your presentation is at a professional conference, or for a television public service announcement?
Lastly, in this section, you will revisit what you learned in Section One Step Four about resources to initiate a biocontrol project, and find tips on grantwriting and resources to support your projects.
