Purpose
A selective medium for isolation of Clavibacter michiganense.
Ingredients
| Ingredient | *Replace with total end volume* |
|---|---|
| D glucose (dextrose) | 10 g |
| casein (vitamin-free) | 4 g |
| yeast extract | 2 g |
| NH4Cl | 1 g |
| Trizma base | 1.2 g |
| MgSO4•7H2O | 0.15 g |
| agar | 20 g |
| polymyxin B sulfate | 0.01 g in 5-10 ml water |
| cycloheximide | 0.2 g in 2.5 ml ethanol |
| nalidixic acid | 0.028 g in 2.5 ml of 0. 1 N NaOH |
Instructions
- Mix
- Autoclave
- Pour and cool
Notes
- Cycloheximide inhibits fungi.
