Michasia Harris: Digital Image Specialist
Michasia is the Digital Image Specialist at the Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health at the University of Georiga. She is currently a Junior at University of Georgia-Tifton Campus working on her BSA in Agriscience and Environmental Systems degree . She attained her Associate of Science Degree in Agriculture from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Her duties at CISEH include entering information for images, releasing images and entering subject codes for the Bugwood Image Database System. She also took a summer off from working at the Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health to work in the Entomology Department in Tifton working on insects associated with cotton and soybeans. One bug they focused heavily on was the kudzu bug. She helped collect data and also analyzed and created charts and graphs for the data we collected. She has also done a summer internship with a private agriculture consulting business in south Georgia. There she scouted cotton, watermelon, corn, peanut and soybean fields all over south Georgia.
