Scots Pine Pinus sylvestris is a species of pine Pinus native to Europe and Asia, from Spain and Scotland east to near the Pacific coast of Russia.

It is a medium-sized evergreen coniferous tree growing to 20-35 m tall, rarely 40 m.

It is extensively cultivated as a timber tree, an ornamental tree, and for christmas trees, in Europe, and to a lesser extent also in North America.
