Monterey Pine Pinus radiata is a species of pine Pinus native to coastal southwestern North America, from central California south to Cedros Island off the west coast of Baja California, with five discrete small populations.
It is a large evergreen coniferous tree growing to 20-35 m tall in the wild, but up to 65 m in cultivation in better conditions.
It is extensively cultivated as a timber tree in Australia, Chile, New Zealand, and South Africa, and more rarely in southwestern Europe.
