Purpose

For isolation of fungi.

Ingredients

Ingredient 1 L 3 L
Glucose 10 g 30 g
Peptone 5 g 15 g
K2HPO4 0.5 g 1.5 g
KH2PO4 0.5 g 1.5 g
MgSO4 - 7H2O 0.5 g 1.5 g
Rose bengal 30 mg 90 mg
Agar 12 g 36 g
Yeast extract 0.5 g 1.5 g
Streptomycin sulfate 30 mg 90 mg

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except for the Streptomycin sulfate.
  2. Autoclave and cool to 50°C.
  3. Add Streptomycin sulfate.
