Purpose
Used for stimulating pycnidium formation in Sphaeropsidales.
Ingredients

| dH2O | 1 L |
| Dihydrogen potassium phosphate | 1.25 g |
| Magnesium sulfate | 0.625 g |
| Peptone | 0.625 g |
| Maltose | 6.25 g |
| Malt extract | 6.25 g |
Instructions
- Heat solution in a double boiler or in Arnold’s sterilizer for 15 min.
- Filter.
- Autoclave at 10 pounds pressure for 15 min.
- Add 1.5-2% agar for solid media. Agar should be melted in a separate lot of water before it is added to the nutrient portion.
