Purpose

Sporulation of Fusarium spp.

Ingredients

Ingredient *1L* *500mL*
Granulated Agar 8.4 g 4.2 g

Instructions

  1. Mix granulated agar with DI water
  2. Autoclave and cool to 50-55°C
  3. Pour into petri plates
  4. Sprinkle on 3-5 irradiated carnation leaf pieces
  5. Let set for at least 3 days to determine if there is any contamination

Notes

  • Irradiated carnation leaves can be ordered through Penn State's Fusarium Lab
  • Can use irradiated banana leaf pieces if carnation leaves are not available
