Purpose
Sporulation of Fusarium spp.
Ingredients
| Ingredient | *1L* | *500mL* |
|---|---|---|
| Granulated Agar | 8.4 g | 4.2 g |
Instructions
- Mix granulated agar with DI water
- Autoclave and cool to 50-55°C
- Pour into petri plates
- Sprinkle on 3-5 irradiated carnation leaf pieces
- Let set for at least 3 days to determine if there is any contamination
Notes
- Irradiated carnation leaves can be ordered through Penn State's Fusarium Lab
- Can use irradiated banana leaf pieces if carnation leaves are not available
