Foreword

The purpose of this bulletin is to assist growers, scouts and country Extension agents in identifying common insects and diseases associated with the principal crops under Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in the Southeast. The insects and diseases under each crop are listed in their approximate order of importance in the Southeast. A grant from the Science and Education Administration-Extension, USDA to the Georgia Cooperative Extension Service made this publication possible. Appreciation goes to the many specialists and institutions who contributed slides for this bulletin. Cooperative Extension Service specialists in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee assisted in the selection and ranking of the insects and diseases described.
